No news is good news

Hubby, daughter and I were on vacation last week in Lake Placid, NY.  Just gorgeous!  Well, no phone call from the dermatologist – so everything is fine.  YAY!  God is good.  I am catching up with paperwork, emails and household stuff, so I may not post anything really interesting this week.  But I will post some pics of where we were this week.  I’ll write more about the trip later.

This is the 1980 arena where the US defeated the USSR in a bid for the gold. the arena is now appropriately named the Herb Brooks Arena in memory of the late Olympic ice hockey coach. Who did the US defeat for the gold ultimately? Do you remember? And no, it is not the former Soviet Union.

Lake Placid continues to be used year round not only as a tourist destination, but also as active training for Olympic hopefuls. it is also home to national and world cup level championships. This picture is of the practice jumps for aerial jumping. The skiers land in the pool.
